WDS and HP team to provide Device Management technologies for mobile handsets, enhancing customer experience with easy, over the-air provisioning.

7th April 2009: Poole, England: WDS announced today the signing of a global agreement enabling HP to resell WDS 's DCE (Device Configuration Engine) software to HP's Mobility Solutions customers.

Targeted to mobile telco operators, the offering will integrate HP's MMC (Mobile Management Center) and WDS DCE (Device Configuration Engine), providing a comprehensive mobile device management solution that enables value-added data services for the feature phone category.

"We chose HP because of its familiarity with MDM (Mobile Device Management), an already successful collaboration in the Chinese market, and because HP's MMC solution could be fully integrated into our existing DCE Engine", said John Ainsworth, Vice President Partners, WDS .

The solution is currently available from HP, and is a key element of HP's Mobility Solutions portfolio of device management offerings.
